The ETS tools tells you what the equivalent GMAT score would be. But the tool is just the tool at the end of the day. It doesn’t accurately measure the difficulty of the test.
Example: Average GMAT for Wharton was 733. The Average GRE Split was 162-162. According to the tool it is equivalent of a 670 gmat.
Now wait a minute. 670 GMAT is all you need???? No right. The GRE score actually gets much harder as you cross 320-325 range, something the tool doesn’t take into calculation.
You can see this across all schools that report GRE. Duke reports average 317. Thats around ~600 GMAT. Phew at face value that looks like GRE would be the way to go, but it’s really not.
It means look at both scores separately and dont compare. Just compare your test scores to your program average scores. Its all out there.
Conversion is useless.
