How do you all deal with time management - and specifically time estimate - problems?

I always underestimate how long things will take, both because we ADHD’ers view time differently and because I don’t build in time for getting distracted.

I work with a partner who asks me by when I can get something done rather than giving a deadline. I appreciate the flexibility but I always short sell myself and end up pulling all-nighters to meet my self-imposed unrealistic deadlines.

Riddle me this Batman: Im told that I can bill X amount for X task but no more, or warned that I may not plan and prepare for certain things even though I do (lost time) Exhibit A: Can’t bill to plan and prepare a motion or pleading, plus bill for the drafting of the document. Seems not grounded in reality to me.

I’ve turned 27 years old today and my father doesn’t give a shit about it. We didn’t celebrate. He yelled at me for waking up too late (it was 11am and I live in my own apartment). My family is here just to visit. I come from an immigrant family FYI. It’s like we’re not allowed to have fun somehow and always focused on work and chores. Hey guys, how much will be the salary range for a Environmental Engineer with less than 5 years experience.

Do you think a job being remote vs in office should have an impact on salary? Ex. Do you view this as a benefit? Should it have a monetary value when comparing salaries? Family member told me my job being remote and having flexibility to drop my kids off at daycare is worth $20K…. Especially curious what managers think!
