What age? My three boys all went through phases. But overall I’ve had the most luck with salmon and steak, cooked simply with salt and pepper.
Charcuterie board method. One plate with lots of little bites of things, including tiny bites of meat, they choose to feed themselves in the order they want.
Salmon cooked with only salt & pepper, or with brown sugar on it.
Pork tenderloin or ham my kid likes but he won’t eat beef really.
Deli chicken aka Oscar Meyer thinly sliced rotisserie chicken.
Otherwise my best advice is to eat it in front of your child and obviously enjoy it but don’t offer them any. This got my child curious and willing to try anything I eat.
Don’t ever make them eat something. You can offer a taste of what you have and act like it’s completely fine if they don’t want to. No pressure or disappointment whatsoever from you. I still do this with my child and also praise him whenever he tastes something whether he likes it or wants more or not. I emphasize the experience of trying new things over actually getting him to eat, and all of these techniques have worked wonders.
Also have them help you cook it!
I would introduce new foods to my kids, and tell them to try it, but they didn't have to eat it if they didn't like it. They now eat just about everything. This was also a good way to identify food sensitivities.
Following for tips. I've had some success cutting meat up in very very small pieces and mixing it with different kinds of flavored rice. Spaghetti meat sauce is always a hit. You can try quesadillas too, but my kiddo isn't really a fan

I’m at the point where I’m doing what I never thought I would do: I’m bribing. My son only eats fruit and pasta. I do the whole ‘first, then’ with something more motivating because I need him to be getting more nutrition. Sometimes I resort to letting him watch because he eats a full, balanced meal when we do that. Even though it’s all entirely against my ethics about teaching him to honor his body and learn about what he needs more intuitively.
Toddlerhood just demolishes any big, emotionally healthy plans you have for your kid and I figure if that’s the worst thing I do, I’m still in a good spot 😭
To clarify: I don’t bribe like “oh if you eat this, I’ll give you this” and I definitely don’t put junk or candy on a higher pedestal. I keep relatively healthy ‘junk’ food like quinoa crackers he loves or whatever and then when he wants them I say we should first finish what’s on our plate or I’ll do ‘1 bite of egg, 1 bite of chocolate’ etc. trying to show balance I hope.
I’ve found that anything I put into a novel item (like pinwheels with puff pastry or a wrap with avocado) helps him eat better. I try to put as many veggies in too and he loves that.
I’m letting them eat chicken nuggets and hamburgers way more than I thought I would 😂
Bait and switch, baby. Chicken francaise one week, if they dig it, flounder francaise next time. Repeat with other similar stuff.
Are you looking for meat/fish specifically or protein? At a certain phase, one of mine wouldn’t eat meat or fish at all, but was fine with dairy and eggs, so he got most of his protein through yogurt (Greek, sweetened with fruit or granola), cheese and scrambled eggs. Also protein fortified cereal. Our doctor said that was fine. He’s 14 now and eats all the meat and fish.
Use take out boxes or presenting the food differently, so food appears more special.
Kids seem to eat meat in nugget form.
My 2 year old loves steak and salmon but she is picky about the cook and quality of her meats lol. She also loves spaghetti meat sauce and cheeseburgers from one particular place.
