Looking to exit out of consulting as a Manager and back to industry at a Director level. Had previously spent 8 years in industry before joining consulting. Has anyone else done this type of exit? Would love tips on how you networked/landed the role?

So my ultimate goal is to be in deals advisory/TAS team. I spent about 9 months in risk assurance at PwC. I requested to transfer into their core line, but it didn’t work out so I’m now accepting a role at EY within their FSO assurance team to get that GAAP|financial statement experience. Anyone have any recommendations/advice on how to eventually get to deals?

What would be examples of cushy industry jobs with good wlb with 200-300k pay check in finance industry? My work is mostly FS so it seems to make sense that I exit in that direction, but I keep hearing that finance in general is less chill than normal corporate sector jobs. Or is that just for IB/PE/HF?

I would gladly take a head of local bank branch or something as the culmination of my career but I fear that dream is too 1950s

Anyone have any insight into Davita? Specifically the FA role? Whats it like long term, turnover rate, do you make your own hours, salary range etc? Anything would be helpful 😊

Now that we have work all year long and lack of an off season, isn’t it a good argument to work just 40 hours a week all year long? Of course there will be some 45s, but I feel it can all be managed if leaders are willing to turn away work and still make a good living. I just don’t see the tax profession improving at its current state, am I just being pessimistic?
