Capital one venture x transfers to Turkish airlines.
You can transfer Amex to Avianca LifeMiles and book Turkish through there.
You won't get Turkish miles with a Chase or Amex card (at least not currently). You'll need to obtain a capital one or Citi card to get miles&smiles miles.
Transfer to a partner airline (like Aeroplan) and book Turkish with them.
I'm able to do that, but the flight I found is 7k points with Turkish miles&smiles. The same flight is 22k with other star alliance partners
or have u tried to use book that flight via Chase/Amex travel portal? Yes the value may be less but you dont have to deal with transferring so you get 1.5% on chase points
True, you have a point there, plus going your route will award elite status miles on whatever program you're crediting the flight to.
Open a LifeMiles account... Check availability... Then decide if it's worth it to transfer!
@OP. If it doesn't show up, it means no award availability.
Also, LifeMiles will charge you more than 7k miles. Award pricing (in miles) is based on distance of flight.
Chase Aeroplan.
Not the best but still an option. Amex to Bonvoy .. Bonvoy to X airline (60k usually gets you 25K miles) have done this several times to “top up” when close to booking an award ticket.
