Citi - SVP Salary Expectations for Tech / Controls
Looking at some SVP roles for technology / controls in the Southwest region. Glassdoor indicates $185-240k as range base comp, and target of $185-205k for average base. Is that accurate?
Glassdoor also targets $40k for variable comp. average. Is that accurate?

Sheraton is great, get a tower room. No need to spend more points than that unless you really want to splurge
I've stayed at the JW probably 4-5 times and it never fails to impress. It has the best concierge lounge of any hotel I've ever stayed at, and the rooms are large and luxurious. Additionally it's actually connected to the MTR so access to the rest of HK is just a few steps away. Everyone I've taken to it has been thoroughly impressed.
Ritz, if you want to drink at the tallest bar in the world.
W has beast breakfast I’ve ever seen at that price hotek
Platinum premiere is fantastic at overseas Marriott properties because they actually seem to be trained to know what it is. Only place I've stayed recently in US that even knew about PP was JW in Santa Monica. I've scored crazy upgrades in Japan, Qatar, Dubai, UK and France with PP...good luck!
I’d splurge (even if just for a night). The Ritz there is an experience. I do think you can get to the bar without being a guest there though, since it’s adjacent to the lobby.
Go for the JW. Better to be on Hong Kong island than in Kowloon. The Ritz bar is cool but the area (same as where the W is) is really just a shopping mall. And anyone can go to the bar anyway. Saying this as a guy who lived in Hong Kong for three years (and stayed at the Sheraton my first year in Hong Kong).
Have narrowed it down to Sheraton, JW Marriott, and Renaissance. Better to stay in Wan Chi/Hong Kong Island or in Kowloon?
D2, how are upgrades at JW? Wondering if they treat Platinum Premier better than Platinum.
I've been upgraded around 50% of the time as a platinum Marriott member, not sure what a platinum premier is so I can't comment there. Also to be honest, the standard rooms at that JW are on par or better than the upgraded suites I'm used to at JWs in the US. You won't be disappointed even if you don't get upgraded.
Sheraton is great! Close to subway, malls, ferry, everything!
I second the Ritz recommendation. Very nice hotel, especially if you can get a harbor view suite.
Regarding the Ritz. Even with the 5th night free, don't want to blow all my points for a 6 night stay. Is it worth changing hotels and splurging for a 1 night stay? Is the tallest bar exclusive to hotel guests only?
The breakfast at the W is pretty dope, but I found the rooms and the view a little “meh” for the price point.
