Law degree (top UK school), started in Corporate Law, now in finance in London. Strong comp, but lacks creativity. Founded multiple businesses (some success, some not). No MBA, but solid academic and practical experience—daily interaction with CEOs, PE firms, etc.

No consulting connections—happy to buy coffee or pay for a call. Any advice?

I was fairly diligent last week, billed 60h, met all my deadlines and obtained positive feedback on my work. It was a lot harder than it sounds as I’m generally either late, screw up or get bad feedback. So big win. At the same time, it drained my body and brain to the point of not being able to work at all on Tuesday and spending the day watching TV. How do you build endurance and keep going when you feel limited? Ever think you’re just not made for this profession?

I applied to an experienced consultant position at Bain and just heard back. Yesterday, I received an invite to a HireVue one-way interview to complete. Today, I received an invite for a coffee chat with a consultant. I’m of course going to do both, but the emails make it seem like they are almost two separate paths/disconnected processes. Can anybody offer some insight into each of these/the process?

Does anyone have an idea how much partners at McK, BCG and Bain make on average? Considering whether I should hang on to this graft for few more years or throw in the towel now? Thanks in advance. Rough ranges are fine too
