Confession: Sometimes I’m afraid to ask for more resources in my role, because what if I have everything I need to succeed and still come up short?

Anyone else experience this and successfully push through that fear?

My manager thinks the best next step for me is to move into management and leadership and has started pushing me to apply for an engineering manager role. They say that I will be a good fit because of my strong technical background paired with the leadership and people skills I display currently.

Dealing with some shit. Started a new job remotely (I’ll be moving there in Jan). First few weeks great.
