Made my first $1M this year. Just before I turned 40! How did you celebrate that milestone? Looking for ideas.

Watch the spend creep. Before you know it, you’ll think $1m is not enough.

More work. Seriously though - big milestone professionally. Whatever you do will be fleeting ultimately. Keep it in perspective and celebrate with those that really matter (family, friends, team members that got you there, Jesus….).

OP do share more

I am not married and don't have kids (intentionally) so booked a beach house in Mexico and invited my friends! We had a blast! Now, if you are more traditional with a fam that relies on you, maybe do something slightly less party oriented, however, please do celebrate with a small percentage; you deserve it! Then go get the next mil. ;)

Spent a quiet evening with my family, then paid bills and took what I owed the IRS and put it in high yield savings cuz estimated payments were due in about 40 days! Enjoy and well done young man!

Just out of curiosity do you mean first one million revenue year or net worth of 1M?

First year of $1M+ annual income.

Congratulations

Big 4?

Damn, congrats. Turning 40 in 2 weeks and nowhere near that. Take an epic trip that’s been on your bucket list!

Didn’t

Congratulations 👍

Congratulations! Huge accomplishment- that too before 40! You can feel proud of yourself, and celebrate and thank everyone who contributed in your journey. Celebration is by individual taste and style - so do what you and yours feel most comfortable and like doing.
Best wishes for the future.

I did nothing but continue to save. Amazing how a big goal gets subsumed by the next one. Still don’t feel financially set, so still just another part of the journey. Did feel good though.

Congratulations - it is a good feeling! Most importantly - realize that "what got you here will not get you there". Take a breather and live a little. Do not get burned out working hard for a raise your bosses may not be able to approve for you due to internal admin.

Make your estimated tax payment …..
