Many companies treat RFI as the first step in choosing a vendor. That’s a mistake. RFI is not about vendors at all. It’s about understanding your own readiness, constraints, and priorities. If you don’t know what success looks like internally, no vendor response will save you. Strong organizations use RFI to clarify thinking. Weak ones use it to outsource thinking — and that decision follows them into delivery.

It’s been 3 years since I (27F) moved to Seattle and still don’t have a solid social circle. Not necessarily a big group… I’m talking 3-4 friends who are easy going and not flakey/ hard to make plans with.

I’m an introvert in strategy consulting, working in US, born in India. I find it difficult to host client meetings - how to drive conversation, fill in the pauses, and help drive the group move towards next steps consensus. It’s not that I don’t know how, it’s that I doubt myself, and my language skills. I see some other SC/Ms just repeating what others said, and just talking too much of what’s already known - and they are appreciated. How do I reach a stage where I am able to do this better?
