Maybe just venting but having a really rough week, nothing is going right and people seem impatient with me - it’s the first time in my five years of practice that I feel like I’m not cut out for this. Anyone who can relate?

Me as well.
I had to put my own life separated from what other people do to me. And try not panic and keep my professionalism.

Question. I am a female POC. I’m curious what non-poc think about black women who wear hair colors other than natural black-brown in the workplace? I’m not talking about outlandish colors like pink, blue, green etc… The hair colors I’m referring to are like honey blonde ombré or balayage and the current trendy copper color. Thoughts?

Anyone ever heard of the digital foundry and operate practice at Deloitte? Is it a good practice?

When I moved in-house a year ago as a BigLaw mid-level, I took a 45% pay cut, far more than I was comfortable with (although I was fine with a 20-30% cut). I took the job because it was a great role and I was focused on making the jump in house and developing the skills I wanted, which required me moving away from my firm practice area. Now that my year-end review is coming up, how do I ask my company for a significant pay raise (not just a 2-5% inflation-matching raise)?

Anyone know when Ch. 7 BKs must close by? Is this changed by when there are adversary proceedings (alleged fraudulent transfers made to a bank for CC payments)? Asking for my friend who is unfortunately involved bc of his parents, who are the debtors (he isn’t a defendant or a debtor in this, but the payments were made to a CC in his name—a CC he didnt know was opened in his name).

Its in Texas, and the initial BK filing was made about 23 months ago. TIA!

What are some tips you have for prepping and also that will make my boss choose to take me to the trial? I have been the main associate on the file but other attorneys have done stuff here and there.

I recently had a specialist partner send me a fairly nasty email after I (a transactional first year) was told to ask them to review something ASAP that had clearly been on my partner’s radar for over a week.
