Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)
(sap domain)
How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)
Any inputs will be helpful.
Thanks!

The Guidehouse news is about Bain Capital, not Bain Consulting
It continues to be embarrassing when people post without knowing those are two wildly different companies.
Slalom is at best a Staff Augmentation and at worst "a body shopping" company, masquerading as a consulting company with a majority of leaders really incompetent as leaders - great programmers may be but not leaders with a vision. You are as good as the tools and techs you as you know and how good you are as a programmer, which directly translates to a $ number against your name.
In 2023, if a company is not able to grow a Data and Analytics practice is not a good place to be
Not that anything is wrong with Staff Augmentation but admitting that is the first step to move to a great consulting company.

How many years of Partner bonus is that?
Or did you mean 6B JPY?
That’s US$ 10
If that company has to cut staff each year just to make payroll, I highly doubt it has anywhere near that much money on hand.

7% layoffs really hurt Slalom. I don’t think they anticipated the financial pain of the severance package AND having to pay out equity to everyone that left. Not saying it was a death blow but we aren’t recovering and my expectation is that we will continue to decline until sale is forced. Our executive team is trying to figure it out but they seem to be failing.

I wonder what McK’s malfeasance budget is.
Where’s the source coming from?
I am actually not surprised if a Investment Firm came in and acquired Slalom, it is a perfect time if they are showing weakness. They have a lot of great long term contracts. I would expect a big mid-level shakeup next year and a lot of senior management shenanigans blaming lower level consultants for failures.
Sadly the moment this is confirmed and the inked you will start seeing a long of great talent bail. I would also expect Contract Renegotiations and HandBook changes that allow for some big shifts.
For real?

I’d that happens, poor McKinsey. Y’all done goofed.
Why 6B?
