Medical Coder, recently got my Pediatric Coding Certification, and my pay increase was $0.50, putting me at $22.80. Not what I was expecting having dual certifications. I got a part-time job coding for another company and starting pay is more than what I make for the company I’ve been at for 5 years (coding for 1.5). Is this normal in a large health system? Full time position is in TX, I work remote.

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. Researching the job mkt & pay for nursing: It is so easy to set up a first interview esp. as a nurse. Set up a zoom meeting, in the zoom meeting ask abt job details and ask for the salary range. They will give it to you, and in my case it was the same range for both of the companies. (Hospice oncall nurse here👋). Then you fit in somewhere on that continuum based on education & experience—that where the negotiation comes in—they will make a case to place you as low as possible on the scale.
