My 3 year old cat passed away unexpectedly last night and I am a mess. The thing is, I am supposed to start a new job on Monday (yay for leaving consulting). Not sure what to do. Would it be awful to ask to push start date...because of my cat... Or should I just try and use it as a distraction and push through the pain.

I've lost all motivation in my job and have done maybe 40 hours of real work since the beginning of August. I've built up a good track record the past couple years, and am good at bullshitting so people have been giving me the benefit of the doubt, but know the party can't keep going forever.

Salary for vp, group director with 13+ years experience?

So I just received a job offer through a recruiter & tried negotiating the pto and vacation.

I asked just for a few more days 2-4 but im terrified they might reject the offer all together. I’m definitely over thinking 😭 but I’m hoping they get back to the recruiter before leaving the office for the weekend.

My office is doing an eventual RTO office, but most of my team is in another state, so not really seeing the point of going. Anyway to convince them that I shouldn’t be expected to go back in if I’m on of the couple people in a different state office?

I'm looking forward to go for MBA/changing technology, which one would be a better option?
