My boss eliminated my role as a PMM and I’m getting laid off bc he decided a more “senior” product marketer is needed for the biz. The role just got posted and it’s only for a Senior PMM and the required years of exp. and responsibilities match my exact level of experience. I’m extremely offended I wasn’t offered the decency of a performance convo. about what skill-set he believes I’m lacking to the point in which they’d rather train someone completely new than just up skill me where needed. ⬇️

I’ve been in community corrections for almost two years. I love what I do in case management, for inmates working on reentry but I would like to explore other job roles and start making a better income. I’m really interested in tech and project management roles. I just do not know where to start far as getting my foot in the door with either industry.
