Why would you regret standing out? Isn't that what you want to do by choosing fun scrubs?
I say go for it, I honestly don't care what people look like as long as it all meets health and safety standards and it doesn't get in the way of doing the work
Just try it out! Sometimes it just takes one person deviating from the norm to inspire others to do the same
If you want to have fun with it, it shouldn't matter what other people have to say about it, and if they're rude then they're the ones making a fool of themselves
I wouldn't feel ashamed about wearing colorful scrubs. If you have the option to choose whatever you like, I would make take advantage of this and wear something that suits my personal style.
What colors do you like? Maybe if you go for something muted but elegant you will look good, and others will notice. You may even start a trend in your workplace! haha
I definitely wouldn't worry about standing out too much, it's fun to be able to express your personality. It can also be a fun way to start conversations with others (especially kids, who are often kind of scared to bring in their pet if they haven't been to a veterinary clinic before).
You should see what people wear to the clinic I work at... pawprint fabrics are really popular, and there are a lot of cute cartoon prints that you can get scrubs in.
As long as your employer isn't against it, you should absolutely get something with more personality than just solid colors. The vet I work for came in with the cutest pattern and I had to ask where she got it; it's my new favorite thing and I've already ordered a few for myself. I hope she doesn't mind being twins, LOL https://www.amazon.com/Womens-Scrub_Tops-Fashion-Uniform-T-Shirts/dp/B08TBQRH3C/ref=sr_1_11?keywords=Animal+Print+Scrubs&qid=1665892109&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI3LjY0IiwicXNhIjoiNi44MyIsInFzcCI6IjUuODAifQ%3D%3D&sr=8-11
Nothing wrong with standing out! I have an embarrassingly large collection of wild scrubs and I love picking between them every morning.
