At this point keep applying, nothing left to loose. It’s a tough hiring market and it will take you some time to land your next gig. I would suggest you hang out a couple of years at the next gig though. 4 in 4 is more of a red flag than 3 in 3 :)
Sometimes the variables out of our control screw us and it looks bad. All you can do is make the most of it. EY 1 made a solid point though, it doesn't hurt to be applying and stay looking since it can take quite a while to find something for anyone, let alone a red flag applicant.
I would say have your resume ready but don't look for jobs right now unless you have actual knowledge of layoffs or very high likelihood of layoffs. Because you're an accountant and they just did layoffs, there are good odds they actually need you.
