I don't have a driving licence or a car, cause I have a health condition growing up and driving is not ideal for me. But my goal is to be a big 4 partner, but sometimes I am afraid they will ask me to travel to somewhere which is not on my subway line. I live in a city where the subway is accessible to clients, so it hasn't been an issue so far and sometimes I can Uber. And of course due to COVID, it's all remote now. I understand directors/partners usually travel much more and would worry!

I need advice.
I work at an manufacturing company as a technician. My job title is a technician but they use me as an engineer as-well. There are three techs overall in the company. My boss who hired me understands what my degree is in so he uses me to design parts and write reports. The plant manager doesn’t know my skills so anytime I’m in the office working he calls me to the floor to do something the other techs can do. Should I have a talk with the boss about it? I am a new (lateral) associate at a small firm where everyone currently works from the office. When I started, I wasn’t told specific firm hours. I’ve tried to figure out when to come and go based upon when the partners arrive and leave, but their schedules are very inconsistent. The other associates don’t have helpful guidance for me. About to turn down a job offer that would nearly double my salary after speaking to several former associates of the firm and hearing some not so great things.
