You care more about work than your own health? Did 2025 teach you anything?

Blaming the man you married for your illness keeping you out of work? You need some introspection on what really matters.

I think this is just the hustle and grind culture we live in. We feel like we aren't even allowed to be sick because we are letting everyone down. You have to take care of yourself though.

Don't be hard on yourself. If you're sick, you're sick. The business world will continue onward and you'll rejoin it when you're in better health. It's good to be dedicated, but don't take it too far, just relax and get better.

Oh well your welcome but yeah it seems like the case but hopefully you feel better

Would you be hard on someone else if they had the flu? Or would you be compassionate and understanding? Sickness happens. It's not your fault. Just take care of yourself since you can't work anyway and get others sick.

You’re very correct thank
You😭 it’s just year end and we have a lot of people already out

Take care of your health! It happens, especially around flu season. Take some time to relax. Hope you feel better!

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

A few months ago I took a job selling internet service. Primarily, I work in the field, where I can make all my sales, but I have been kinda dipping a toe into reaching out to property managers via email. So, i have been trying to write a BASHO email template and I am hitting a wall. It’s hard to personalize it as a lot of the people I reach out to have no social media or are super hard to find. Basically what I have is Intro->benefit statement(one sentence)->CTA. Any advice?

Additional Posts in Salaries in Finance

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

Is anybody here a notary? And how much are you making from that? Is it a potential side-hustle?

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

Does anybody know what the typical salary range is and total comp for someone starting out as an internal or external wholesaler? If you are one of these, can you share about your experience in terms of whether you liked it or not, work life balance, travel, etc?
