Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

Sounds like their way of trying to keep you on without having to pay you more. A title upgrade never hurts, but it's not a guarantee to help you in the future, either. Salary is what matters. I would use that title to find yourself a better paying job elsewhere.
I've never had mine change. I wonder what prompted them to do this. You're doing the same work, getting paid the same amount, just under a new title? Seems like an unnecessary change. But hey, if it sounds more elevated, maybe it'll help you get a better job down the road 🤷♀️.
Let me share my experience, because titles actually matter more than people realize. If your title reflects higher-level work, even without a pay increase, you should absolutely leverage it when job searching.
In my case, my actual responsibilities were heavily HR-focused (management, senior, and mid-level), but my title didn’t reflect that. Now, in this job market, my resume keeps getting filtered out because recruiters and ATS systems screen by title first, even when the bullet points clearly match HR roles.
You're absolutely right about that. If it got into the right hands-a hiring manager that actually took the time to read and analyze your skill sets, it would definitely be a different story.
Companies are consolidating more positions now more than ever in an effort to be cost effective but it's easy to see the impact it can make on the brand as a whole. Quality and customer satisfaction diminish because one person is trying to do the job of many. Most companies are forced to make those choices in an effort to survive but employees, internal candidates and the public as a whole are very much aware. Employee retention is key as turnover has a large impact on a company's success. It disrupts productivity, things fall through the cracks and so on. That's the world we're living in.
