My previous company has made mistake by updating my last working day as 22/06/2021 instead of 01/06/2021 and the joining date of current company is 03/06/2021. There is an overlap of 20 days in my employment service history. I’m planning to switch and during background verification it is causing problem. And even if I want to use PF amount this will be a significant problem. My previous organisation is not cooperating in submitting JDC to correct that. What should I do in this case?

I’m in discussions to become the GC of a mid size but international company that does ~$1 billion in annual revenue. Smallish legal department. They’ve asked for my comp expectations. I don’t have specific expectations but I want to be compensated at least market for a NYC based GC (which looks like cash comp of at least $300k plus bonus, etc). Any suggestions on how people would respond?

Is taking the bus to work as convenient as taking the tube? Thinking of getting a place that by bus has a lesser commute than train but worried about traffic, frequency, etc. of the bus. Basically 20 mins bus vs 27 mins tube? Thanks!
