What’s strategy like at Digitas? Any scoop?
I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?
I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.
Any Advice?

I’m not in NYC (so take this with a grain of salt), but it feels like a base salary in the $275k-350k range and a 25% target bonus would be about median cash comp for your market, company, YOE, and other info in this thread.
I would try to align with the rest of the exec team. I’d personally be hesitant to be the only remote senior exec in the team. If the team has a hybrid or remote-first culture, by all means do that.
I shared this in another GC comp thread, but I also think you’ll want to consider the ability to build your team (hire, fire, reorg) as part of your comp package. Don’t know if you’ll have a formal contact, but there’s something to be said for being able to build the team you need even if it means taking less money upfront.
On numbers - this is an admitted finger in the air, but I was thinking something all in in the 400-500k range.
Lol
Private or public? Industry? Number of employees?
Above + any unique challenges? Why is first GC leaving? Is this a turnaround job for the legal team?
Private. Retail goods. Roughly 3,000 or so employees in US, Europe and Asia.
I’d say the company is in some transition but it’s not a turnaround. No enormous problems that I can see from the outside, but definitely not a phone it in 9-5. The last person was relatively junior for the position (under 10 YOE), and my impression is it didn’t work for a variety of reasons. I’m at about 20 years out.
One of my main jobs will be building out the legal team. Right now they rely far too much on external counsel for routine work.
Thanks. I was thinking that ball park as well. Besides cash, what are you seeing in terms of flexibility to work outside the office in your role?
How many years experience do you have?
Almost 20
