My recruiter said salary isn’t the main priority… for WHO? Interview was amazingly well until I asked about pay. The recruiter laughed and said they’re really looking for someone who cares about the mission, not just the money. LOL. Why is it bad to want fair pay? How do I even respond to this? Is it worth even continuing to just hear the number or is it completely a lost cause

You can respond saying you’re dedicated to being a productive member of the team and deeply care about the company’s success however you can’t pay rent or buy food with care. If they want someone who cares about the mission then they need to care about the employee by properly taking care of them financially.

like

Possibly. If you need the job then play along.

All companies have mission statements right . I bet one of those mission statements has to do with treating their employees as a valuable member of the team. If they value you , they can pay you . I would find a different recruiter, this person is not doing what is your best interest, keep the bar high for yourself.

I do care about the mission. The mission is money

The reason I resigned was the sh^^head manager and project.
He said I would be released from project soon and then on bench but after resigning he is saying you have to serve the NP n we cant release early.
This is only option left to get released from this sh^t place

Hi, been stuck in the contract analysis/review cycle. I have asked a few recruiters how to make a lateral move into in-house. They told me to focus on contract management, which I have been doing for the past year. Now that I have, are there any sites besides “jobscan” that I can use to make sure my resume fits the job descriptions? Does anybody know any recruiters that could help me, as well?

In your past experience, how accurate have you found the ranges for positions on Glassdoor?

Hi everyone, thinking of places to hop to from Citi. Under consideration for a position w JP Morgan. The position is Vice President, Sr. Program Manager. Position is in Tampa. Anybody have an idea on what the salary range is like for this position? Thanks in advance.

I’m currently in the process of being converted from contractor to permanent. In my initial conversations I was under the impression that I was in a different pay grade and asked for a salary 25k higher than the max allotted for my position. I feel like it gave the impression that I don’t know what I’m doing. Any suggestion how I can recover from this?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

When I negotiated my comp, all my discussions were around me being a junior and I only accepted my comp for that reason (would not have accepted if I was step above junior since it was low). Negotiations happened with HR, but my offer letter and documents never mention junior (but I have proof from HR saying I am a junior). How do I approach this with my boss as I’m not sure she’s aware I’m actually technically a junior? Revolving around asking for a move up + raise
