My spouse has an approved i140 (priority date June-2014). I’m nearing max-out (June-2024) and my perm is in-process (priority date July-2022). We both have active h1b visas. We got married last month. Should I get added to her i140, and convert to h4-ead or should I continue on my h1b and wait until before she has to file i-485?

My company has started my I-140 application. The first stage is complete - got my prevailing wage approved. My HR recently told me that during the next stage (advertising for the role and PERM), my salary cannot be changed - no hikes or raises. Is this true? Some colleagues are giving me conflicting information so I wanted to be sure before asking the HR again.
