I had a non traditional path out of law school because I graduated at the height of the Great Recession and my mother was seriously I’ll with cancer. I’ve worked for 2 big four firms in internal positions within compliance/regulatory for a total of 6+ years and am ready to make a move. What is my next best one? Is it totally impossible for me to go to a law firm?

Anyone transition from consulting to product and have any real practical advice? I’ve read many boards, blogs, and books but maybe something that you learned in the process that would be helpful?

I’m honestly tired of being at an agency and not feeling as fulfilled as I used with strategy as a career. Have anyone here make a career change? if so, what other jobs out there - outside of agencies and client side - can you apply what you know as a strategist? Curious if anyone has done it and has some advice.

I have been in advertising roles in media and account for the past 1.5 years but I really want to make a career move to PR because that is what I studied and where my passion lies. I know the market is really tough especially here in NYC. Do you recommend I apply for Account Coordinator Roles or the next level up? I don't have formal PR agency experience but I have experience from my education and in house internships, and general agency experience from my current and past roles Thanks!

I networked with VCs and one of them was receptive but didn't have the budget currently for a full time hire. They said they'd be interested in working with me to do a research paper over the coming semester, and was wondering if I could leverage this into a full time offer?

How do you transition from big 4 consulting to big law? My clients are all funds, and I do international tax consulting. I have used my connections to refer me into probably 10 big law firms and it’s not working. One most recently came back and said they aren’t interested bc I have no law firm experience. How am I supposed to get it though? I can’t go to lower ranked firms bc my clients are all “big.” … any suggestions appreciated!
