Move out for different opportunities
my personal opinion is to introspect and try fixing but after giving a few chances if nothing changes it's better to move on
From my opinion , it’s similar to above comment . it depends if there’s something on the positive side to work on , like any practical feedback to work on .. But if that’s not the case , it’s usually better to invest time in switching rather than escalating . And it had happened with me in my past . I raised it to my skip , but nothing changed . Eventually I switched .
Trust me, bro, you should change organizations, and then they will know your worth—which is the best slap in the face. No one in the corporate world matters, so keep growing and all the best!
Actually, there is a darker side to this story. I am a female, and my manager is a pervert. Since I didn't show any romantic interest in him, his fragile ego was hurt. The twist is that another girl at my level is an opportunist, and she eventually started having an affair with the manager. Since she is at the same level as me, she is also jealous of me.
Now, the two of them take revenge on me together, and this has been going on for the past 1.5 years. My manager highlights her everywhere—from client interactions to higher management—even though she is not skilled enough to deserve that level of visibility.
I recently changed my domain while remaining under the same manager, as moving to other projects is not an option. Earlier, I thought he was simply biased toward her, which was why he didn't provide me with visibility opportunities. However, I recently realized that he is specifically denying those opportunities to me. He has transferred all the visibility opportunities to my current colleague, even though he told me during our daily meeting that he would assign those responsibilities to me.
I am considering to switch but I also have this obsessive thought about taking revenge on my manager. As, I have endured a lot during these years. When at first all these events started to happen, even then I thought of resigning but during the same time 3 other people resigned. 2 of them resigned because of this manager and the girl from level, 1 recorded his plight to the HR, another left quietly. So, he went a bit easy on me for 4-6 months. But now as I see the pattern repeating especially since past 6 months, my mind is going into fight or flight.
He have give her more recognition and opportunities then anyone else in the project.
Protects her from any escalation even if ahe is not right from her part. And they are always together in and out of office.
Nothing more then this I have to prove their involvement.
