General rule of thumb for most Indian firms- you can only take leaves due to illness and emergencies. Remaining earned leaves will be credited to you (at your basic +DA typically).
Very few companies will have a standard clause of adjusting leaves and shortening notice period. The realistic way is to have an "early release". For the most accurate answer, refer your HR policy handbook. Or ask the HR :)
