You’re moving to Denver, there’s plenty of opportunity for careers in that city. Have her update the resume to say living in Denver and start applying to new roles now. Do the same on LinkedIn and flip on the open to work for recruiters to see and she might get a bite that way.
Having been a milspouse who’s moved across the US and globe for my partner, you just figure it out. It sucks at times, but again, you’re moving to Denver so it’s not like you’re moving to a place that’s lacking career opportunities. I’d tell her to stay positive and take it as a career break until a new job appears.
Confused? You both work at pwc?
Sorry - I revised the post. No she does not work for PwC, but at a separate bank
I can't imagine there's any harm in your wife trying to negotiate with her employer. But there could be a non-negotiable situation, sometimes companies have legal or tax reasons that make it difficult to have employees in various states. It would be good to find out about that. If negotiating with her employer doesn't work out, I assume she could find opportunities in Denver.
Depends how badly you want to move vs. how much she likes this job
