HR should be doing more. If its really worrisome/severe, you can threaten an EEOC complaint with HR.
Agreed, I think how a company treats issues like this is VERY telling
There is no easy answer when dealing with a misogynist coworker. If possible, you could try to have a conversation with him about why his comments are inappropriate and unprofessional. However, if he is unwilling to listen or change his behavior, your only other option may be to report him to HR. Unfortunately, there is no surefire way to get rid of a misogynist coworker, and it may be a difficult situation to deal with.
Ugh!! MIsogynist coworkers are the worst! Don't let him bully you into leaving. Stay away from him if you can help it.
If you can't fight him with the normal process think of a very good comeback. Don't leave and concede.
Try your best to not pay him any attention. He's only looking to get a reaction out of you. Your HR really should think about actually doing their job.
i would try to embarrass him if he ever did something to me. Embarrassment is a strong emotion that deters some behaviors. I would pray that he does not do something stupid, because if he did i don't know what I can do. But why can't you verify it with HR?
