Agree- Ive found with a micromanager to overprovide info helps, Somehow, they realize they dont need as much info all the time....
It would be helpful to understand where the micromanagement comes from. Is it because it’s a difficult client? Are there team transitions happening & they’re trying to keep a handle on things? Are ppl making mistakes & they’re providing close oversight to get the team back on track? Or is it just this person’s personality? Sometimes micromanagement comes from a well meaning place, & having a feel for why could help you have an open conversation about the type of mgmt that works for you/your team
Of course! Good luck! :)
Pray lol
Kindness, just smile go home and relax then repeat just find a way to destress. We all have that one at some point in life. it will pass.
I beg to differ- survived a four year stint with a micromanaging boss- kept thinking it would change- actually had conversations to discuss why she felt the need to follow my every move. What did it result in? A daily end of day meeting to 'see what I screwed up that day -so she knew what needed to be fixed in the morning". Some people just are inherintly nasty.
Ask the manager to demonstrate. For example, "can you show me how this is done?"
that she can't do because she doesn't work at all
