How is the work life balance in Citi?
Here is the scenario: Have 2 offers from IT MNCs and 1 from Citi. Citi's offer is the highest. Almost 5 lakhs diff in the fixed component. Although money is important, but I am also seeking a little balance with life. I was previously in ZS Associates and to be frank, life was hell. I am not looking to relive that phase again.
What are the daily actual working hours?
Shall I join Citi or let go it for a lower package offer?
Seeking honest advice here.

Seems like this person may be trying to tell you something. Right now, you're in the understanding phase.
In your one on one ask, what prompted this goal? are you feeling burned out? How can I help you achieve this goal? Etc. Ask more coaching like questions rather than get into solution mode. Get them to tell you their side, and you just listen and offer help.
Perhaps even in your other one on ones, I'm subtly how the workload (doesn't have to be to everyone but 1 other person just to get a feel). Don't ask about burnout, so it's not easily attributable to the person of this specific goal, frame it differently. You also want to understand if this is a widespread issue and others are being silent.
Then, take it away and reflect on that conversation. See what needs to change in team dynamics or with that individual.
I think the fact that you are asking shows you care and that’s great, most people don’t care about their employees wellbeing.
This is the nicest way to say I’m overwhelmed, IMO, and I am going to copy this for future use.
That a great goal! I would appreciate that employees honesty and self awareness.
Sounds like there's a lot of understanding that needs to be gained before taking any steps here.
Work-life balance may be achieved by better priority setting, calendar usage, and task management so it could be converted into a personal goal, but agree step 1 is understanding the intention behind this before moving forward.
Feeling refreshed and motivated could also come in the form of a project or unique training opportunity.
You really need to understand if this is a widespread issue or specific to this tenured employee so you can proceed accordingly and get to the heart of this.
I see it’s not written as a SMART goal. j/k good luck- but really maybe if you say yes I totally support this you can tease out what’s going on and help this individual set some boundaries
My first year at my new job I had a mental break with SI. My boss now brings me in on convos, as appropriate & consented to, about how to really achieve the WLB in our setting without having to give the company elevator talk along with it. So far I've had 10 employees credit my help with them not hitting burnout and quitting. Some are not quitting everything. This is my happy.
Maybe I need to go be a life coach and not in claims... Lol
