What is your companies medical insurance like?
I think my company has not so good insurance but that’s just compared to friends I know that work down at the docks/port.

It’s usually safest to wait for a confirmed start date. Giving notice too early can leave you in limbo if the new job shifts. Two weeks is standard, but timing it with certainty helps avoid unnecessary stress.

Wait until you have a date, for sure. If they delay your start date, there’s nothing you can do after you’ve already given notice. You could try and have your start date there coincide with when you leave your current job. However, I always value a few days free before I start a new position.

If you do it you could be 2 -4 weeks without pay they could go ahead and let you go so I personally wouldn’t do it until I know for certain I have another job so that I’m not four weeks without pay
