I feel like my employer thinks I’m losing my shit.

I started traveling while working remote and fell in love with the mountains. I’m now applying to be a full time remote employee and fear they won’t approve it.

I feel like I have to defend that I’ve found more in life that makes me happy than just work.

Hey all! after many years abroad I've taken the crazy decision to try and move back to Italy. I'm in contact with a couple of international companies (from startups to enterprise) that may be willing to hire me for a Customer Success Manager remote role based in Italy even though they do not have an entity in Italy. Love how BS credit score is. Got my score up to 800 last month only to go on vacation so my credit utilization went up to 8% due to the increased spending and my score dropped 35 points because I didn’t immediately pay the balance after charging the purchases. I was humbled today when I was talking to a guy at work(I’m in industry) and we were looking through the past work history of executives/board members and I’m go “oh she used to work at Deloitte!” And he’s like “what’s a Deloitte”

I didn't apply for a job that would have set me up for the future in the government. I wouldn't have to worry about money or future jobs. My boss had just given me a small pay rise and talked up the future and so I felt good. I now severely regret not applying for the job and cannot stop thinking about it to the point of insomnia and depression. I even contacted the employer but too late. It's a small town and rarely anything comes up. I hate myself and feel like I failed my family. :(

I'm feeling a lot of anger towards my manager (now he's acting normal but there were moments where he was condescending/dismissive/mocked my and others work/arrogant/said stuff was "wrong" constantly/belittling the difficulty of tasks etc. in the past project).
Maybe it is "standard chewing out" but it bothered me a lot. So much that I find myself still getting all fired up inside thinking about it...
Idk how to let go of this :/ Thoughts?
