I just got an offer from Accenture Switzerland, Total Comp 170K with 140K base. I have 6YOE as IT consultant and 9YOE in total. I am just upset that they did not offer me a relocation package of 20k because the cost of living in Zurich for a family with 1 child is crazy! Should I insist for a sign on bonus before accepting the offer?

I’m wondering if I’m alone here, but does anybody work for a company that they want to get away from, but the reviews are overwhelmingly positive for? I’m seriously starting to question my sanity.
Most people at my company would tell you it's bad yet our glassdoor reviews went up basically overnight from 3.7 to 4.2. The positive reviews all have like a sentence in them and barely say anything and many are very similar wording. The company is trying to buy a best place to work award so I think certain orgs bribed people to spam positive reviews...
Is this also a place for folks to share workplaces they love? Or is that a new bowl? :)

Don’t question your sanity, what you are feeling is probably real. I used to work for a company, that overall is great is a great place to work. It is management within certain departments/subsidiaries that are a nightmare. And the frustrating part about it is that leadership has been made aware of the individuals/situation on several occasions, but never do anything about it, in fact they tend to low-key gaslight the individual making the complaint – which leads others to just keep their mouths shut, and the culprits continue with their toxic behavior.

Damn Straight! Know your worth!!!❤️
I don't know if you saw my reply on your previous post... I joined this bowl because I think honest and specific discussion of work culture is super important. and I agree shutting people down is not right. Different perspectives are valuable… no one is going to learn and improve if people can’t be honest.
But! On Glassdoor I have also experienced misogynistic, personal (named) attacks that amounted to libel or slander (I forget which is which.) You might say that’s different, but I am pretty sure the people saying my degree was fake or I had no relevant past experience felt like they were telling the truth.,. Or mostly the truth… or something truthy, anyway.
So I am all for honesty. All for getting the ugly stuff out there - I was cyber-bullied for being successful while female, which is pretty damn toxic.
But I think truth matters, too. Facts matter. We can all have different opinions, but when we have different facts people need to be able to think critically and question and yes, pushback as appropriate, without being shut down.

No, I didn't see this. Thanks for sharing. Naming people and cyberbullying is not what this forum is about. As you've stated - “no one is going to learn and improve if people can't be honest.” In addition, companies can't address the problem if they are allowed to bury negative social media reviews...and platforms like Glassdoor, LinkedIn and Indeed assist in presenting false narratives. And don't get me started about Great Place To Work surveys--Another organization that gets paid. A subsidiary of major airline carriers would their employees to be mindful of how they fill out their GPW surveys because the results were provided to management and they try to decipher through the negative comment. Hence, there is a toxic manager in the org, where it is common knowledge this individual is horrible to staff, yet when staff goes to the leadership to report this tyrant, their response is always, “but (said person’s) GPW surveys are always high” and the gaslighting begins.
