Omg trying to pivot is brutal, I just gotta vent a sec, TIA. Seems if you don't want to be in sales, even a lot of engineering salaries are trash or you must work on site 100% no relo. Jobs posted as remote but they're really just high travel req'd. Anything in my desired pivot is either hourly, super shit salary or requires 15 yrs exp in very specific internal company platform. And anything that looks slightly decent has 1k+ applicants on day one. 😭 Solidarity w y'all out here. ✊

Studied accounting and finance but worried about the future of this profession. Currently working in Forensic Consulting but want to leave. Should I go back to undergrad and get a computer science degree? I honestly want a career where I could at least potentially make 600 k per year. I feel in accounting it’s near impossible. I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?
