It would be nice to be able to offer service like that, but we are always so busy. We get yelled by our manager at if we spend too long talking to one customer even if it's the customer who won't take the hint and move along. Good customer service is so rare these days and it's not because of the employee :( I would love to help more if I could.
That’s exactly the frustration—wanting to help but being squeezed by time and management pressure. Good service gets crowded out by numbers and deadlines, which isn’t fair to employees or customers. It’s a tough spot to be stuck in.
I agree that good customer service is rare, but on the other hand; it’s ridiculous how most of these poor workers I see have to take abuse from people who don’t have decent manners. Or it seems it’s their first day on earth, expecting a service or item that’s just unavailable and it’s as if the world stopped spinning.
You nailed it. It’s frustrating watching decent workers get slammed by people acting like common courtesy is optional. Some folks treat customer service like a battlefield instead of a conversation. Makes you wonder where their patience went.
This kind of service is becoming increasingly rare. When I'm out and about, I feel like the general employee these days seems half asleep, barely interested, or even annoyed if you have a question. It's almost like they don't want your business. But hearing stories like this is really encouraging
I hear you. It’s easy to feel like the spark’s gone in service these days. But every once in a while, you run into someone who actually cares—and that reminds you it’s not all lost. Those moments stick with you.
