One of the saddest kinds of calls I still get are from older folks who’ve just sent money to someone pretending to be their grandkid. The story’s usually the same, they say they were in an accident or got stranded somewhere. It feels urgent and real.
By the time they call us, the money’s gone. And their voice? You can hear the heartbreak!
These scams are getting way too common, and it hurts to see good people fall for them.

Hi everyone, have a noob question here. When did you share the pregnancy news with your employer? Not sure when it’s optimal to do that. :)

When an organization is not adequately staffed, be sure increase the number of meetings to address how to allocate people. Forcing negotiations at multiple org levels around the same decisions will ensure everyone is totally aligned.

This accomplishes three things:
1) Everyone is mad at each other since they’re competing for people
2) They’re confused and not able to pay attention to the root issue of chronic under staffing
3) They’re distracted from blaming mgmt for the root cause.

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip. He was a republican staffer on capitol hill.

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any
