One thing that still happens way too often is people calling in on their partner’s account, pretending to be them. And they’ll go through the whole verification like it’s normal!

Then when you catch on, they casually pass the phone over, still try to jump in while you’re verifying the actual account holder.

It’s not us trying to be difficult, there are rules for a reason. And trust me, it makes our job so much harder when people don’t respect them.

Once when I was waiting tables, I had a guy pay me cash. The change was 45 cents, which I didn't give back to him because like who wants that. He then asked where the change was, and when I explained that I didn't give back the loose change, he made a big stink about how dollars and cents matter and didn't leave me a tip.
