Other than SPY or QQQ type ETFs, what are the safest options trades right now, esp for the wheel (CSPs, CCs)?

I feel like the SOFI ride is going to end soon. I do mostly AAL, F and SOFI.

SOFI has been the greatest gift for me. CSPs/CCs and Leap Calls

like

It has travelled 5-10% up and down 8 times in 60 days. Buy when it’s $25-27 and ride it up. I legit only started doing it in the last 3 of those 8 and made like 15-30% each time on 6 day trades, just in and out on leaps capturing the fluctuations

I like to do covered calls on BITO to farm dividends and hedge the downside of my long term holdings by buying SPXU or SH

like

So I'm confused. How are your covered calls / cash puts inherently tied to the Sofi platform? You can execute those strategies anywhere.

Yes, the Wheel is selling cash puts on stock like SOFI, getting assigned shares, then selling covered calls on the stock, then having shares called away.

It’s the safest bet nearest to owning stock outright.

You can try the different option etf from neo, kruv, yeidmax, round hill…

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
