1-2 weeks can be unavoidable when we're not running a backlog. Prolonged time on the beach is a signal that MC are avoiding picking you up on their projects. If you're not getting staffed, reach out for BD or ask if you can support a project that could use a free resource. Network with MC directly in addition to formal staffing channels

it 100% is. If you are not in demand (aka the MC and project managers do not want you) then you will sit on the beach for a long time while other people get staffed.
Longest “true” beach time (no active project or follow ups, etc) I had was about 2 weeks in February and all I did was BD during that time (I proactively asked for it).
Prefer not to say but an American east coast office
I mean how many true client projects do we really have going on? Seems to be a lot of 1tmt project codes, so I’m not sure how much of it is MC passing on you vs. projects that are actually going on
