Ppl also quit bad jobs, bad companies, bad culture, bad compensation, bad hours, bad growth opportunity... Bad bosses for sure too. But ppl definitely quit jobs.
Every job I've quit I loved my boss, but it was time for the next thing
Exactly. Pay, benefits, and work life balance matter way more than a “good boss”. Ill deal with a bad boss as long as im paid well and can leave whatever stress they cause at the job.

That was a nice quip at first, but now that my company is using that line to basically blame managers for low morale and attrition rather than address constant layoffs, no promo opportunities, and decreased compensation growth, that quip's flaws are glaring.
Not always the case. Has a couple jobs where I loved my boss but not the organization
And there are way more bad bosses than good people

lol love that meme! 😂

I would be if I was a boss lol. I’m not the kind of manager that has direct reports.

But also, things don´t need to be “bad” for you to consider leaving your company.
People also leave because of different personal reasons, such as opening their own business, moving to another country, traveling, starting a family... or just generally because company doesn’t align with their long/er term goals anymore.
Not necessarily true. I love my manager but am so bored with what I do and the lack of advancement opportunities that I have thought about quitting. It’s not her fault because those decisions are made at a level higher than hers.
