Usually if they don’t overlap in scope of work you should be fine. If they are too close and you’re asking yourself the question, then I would suggest checking with your firm to see if you’re allowed to do so. Good luck!
Came here to say this. The safest way to know for sure is to ask your boss.
If it could cause financial or reputational harm to your current employer, then it's a no-go. Like, if you're competing or trying to steal clients. If it's totally unrelated, then go for it.
Ya this would only be helping build reports for a start up, not something I think my current employer would do
