north austin
check our the domain for a solid outdoor shopping, apartment living, bar and restaurant vibe.
downtown
4 main bar and restaurant areas (rainey Street, west 6th, dirty 6th, east 6th)
you can either stay downtown, hyde park, south congress (soco) to be either short uber or walking distance to these areas
rainey, chill out door patio bars (23 -30 year olds)
west, more of a young professionals rooftop and patio bars (25-35 year olds)
dirty, college vibes (21-27 year olds)
east, more food and some chill bars, more of Austin's weird side (23- 35 year olds)
soco is also an area to explore for keep austin weird vibes
Google 1, I dont think so. I feel like the domain is great for people from 25-45. caters to the young and early executive professional. also has enough nice eating spots for older folks.
if you are in your 30s and single or at least without kids id recommend downtown, Mueller, hyde park, soco, domain area.
if you have kids than and are looking for affordability roundrock, cedar park, Leander, Georgetown.
if you have kids and got some money in your pocket. Steiner ranch, westlake, Lakeway, lake travis.
I was born and raised in austin (1990). live in NYC now but I have seen how this city has grown north further north and now even further south.
