Please help explain wedding tipping etiquette to me! I don’t want to shortchange anyone but also do not understand who you tip - for example, our photographer, videographer, and makeup are all individuals who own/run the business and are being paid in cash (their request). I’ve always heard you don’t tip an owner, because they’re setting the price so wouldn’t they set it to account for what they want to be paid? Right now we are planning to tip waitstaff. Do you also tip your band, florist,etc.?

Any recommendations for good videographers in NYC/Tri-State? A lot of the affordable ones I find make the cheesiest videos. I’ve certainly found some good ones but very expensive. Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. My fiancé’s sister is bringing her unvaccinated spouse to the hotel where all the wedding festivities are being held b/c she is too scared to fly on an airplane without him.
