One of my favorite podcasts did an episode on Adderall. Most of the info won’t be new, but there were some interesting snippets in there. I also thought it was a useful educational resource to share with your family and friends.

C1 is on point. I think it’s exactly those 2 things. You focus on whatever is in front of you, you can’t see further. Also the perfectionism/anxiety off meds makes you an overplanner.
C1 let’s be friends 😂
Same. I really miss my strategic thinking, planning ahead and creative idea generation
I just wonder if on meds you focus intently on the task at hand that planning ahead becomes tougher. Some stimulant meds also reduce anxiety for folks with adhd which may have contributed to advance planning earlier.
or they can also increase anxiety, so worth watching
no, but honestly now that you say it I’m wondering if this also is what happened to me… what meds?
The way I think about it…when I’m off meds I can take in everything around me, but it’s all pretty fuzzy and can’t focus on any one thing. When I’m on meds it’s like I have blinders on and am very focused on what’s right in front of me and it’s very clear. Hence my love/hate relationship with stimulants.
THIS THIS THIS. For reading and working on a laptop it’s fantastic, otherwise it’s awful for social skills imo lol.
