Question, I work in a environment that is just starting to adopt Product mindsets and also agile project planning. I recently started as a Jr Product Manager and had a short amount of time to create a roadmap based on items that were gathered previous to me. I created a roadmap but know its going to be adjusted. How often does a roadmap typically get adjusted?

That heavily depends on how many engineers you have working on things, how long it takes to deliver features / enhancements, etc…

Generally speaking, you should review it monthly and align with stakeholders no less than quarterly. You’ll likely have negotiations around priorities almost every day. But if you’re adjusting it more than once a month, something in the process is broken.

like

Best Practice - Quarterly. Realistically? Can be as often as when the wind blows.

Agreed with @JPMorgan Chase 1

like

Review it for reference - weekly.
Review for refining- monthly is more than enough to align with the current business goals.

As all vaccines' efficacy dip over time, I was thinking of getting booster shots of Moderna or both shots of Moderna or Pfizer for my parents (senior citizens) visiting the US from India in Nov.

They have taken both rounds of Covishield a few months ago. I'm looking for data if mixing and matching vaccine types are okay.

PARTNERS: two questions —1. If you see an associate has really low hours for the month, do you imagine them chillen on a beach somewhere or do you consider they probably spent most of their days sitting in front of the computer being “available”? 2. If you send an associate a random e-mail on a weekend like “Can you pull X and send to Y”, would you get annoyed if they responded saying they weren’t by a comp or would you consider it reasonable that they wouldn’t be by a comp on a weekend?

Throughout my career, I have worked at both “traditional” and “digital” shops. My current agency would fall under traditional but also offers digital services. Our process, roles and skillsets seem way outdated but I wasn’t sure if it was just my opinion or if this is just how it works. For example, we have no CTO or tech leads. Our digital producers feel more like project managers than actual producers. Account Management is just traditional, no real digital knowledge. Feels layered and dated.

I have received two offers from great companies. One is a senior analyst role in the advertising industry and another is a Product manager role in the risk industry. I have 1-2 years of experience as an analyst.

So our CEO asked me and a colleague to give a Start/Stop/Continue Mid-year review of our CIO who’s been our Head of Product for a few months (Our Head of Product left because of him when that guy came in)

We have a lot to say and none of the PMs approves the way he operates.

My concern is that it’s meant to be transparent but if we’re honest and he gets called off, he will figure out it comes from us.

Never been in that situation before, is it better to be completely honest or a bad idea?
