Not giving medical advice, but we did the same for my parents when they visited from Pakistan. They had gotten the Russian vaccine before coming.
I got a booster Pfizer myself, my reaction was the same as Pfizer 2 (fever + chills for a day).
My parents are visiting on Nov and have taken Covidshield - I plan to have them take 2 shots of Pfizer.
I plan to walk in and have them take it as first timers, there's no real infrastructure or verification for what they had before so I don't intend to go into discussions about it either at cvs.
I don't plan to
UK study showed mixing AZ with mRNA was better than just sticking with AZ. The NIH also ran a study recently on mixing the J&J dose with mRNA and had similar results. But as others have mentioned please ask your physician.
Maybe just get them a J&J single shot than a booster? They will def ask for vaccine card before getting a booster and might refuse to give a booster if the original wasn’t of that brand.
Very valid post, just don’t think a bunch of consultants would be the best source for this info. Why not call in your primary care physician?
Agreed. Just looking for data or official news about this
