It’s called aero… engine is only a part of the full package
Yeah so I’m sure the premium team gets the best stuff. I’d like to understand more about the nuances.
Do customers get all the maps and party modes the supplier has? I would guess no, but I don’t know how that works.
Engine is only part of the car. There are transferable parts that can be bought (engine being one) and others that need to be built. Here’s a list of 2022 parts

Awesome thank tou
You know what’s funny? The Ferraris were dead last on the speed trap ranking. Slower than all customer teams.
Cars are designed to provide as much downforce with the least amount of drag. Some teams are better than this at others - usually teams with more resources. So teams that have a worse drag vs. downforce rate suffer on the straights.
I think this year’s Ferrari is very good on traction and has a lot of downforce - so it’s quick out of the corners and quick in and out of corners but top speed is relatively low.
The thing is they can choose to have more downforce because of their good engine. Cars with less downforce (e.g. Alfa) can choose a higher top speed and benefit from the engine in other ways.
Power train - Ferrari has the best right now
Aero - highly configurable for every race
Chassis - Redbull has had the best for a long time afaik.
Vehicle dynamics (suspension, traction, etc.) - configurable for every race
So just selling engine doesn’t solve everything
