Recently, I was let go along with others from a large company due to "restructuring." At 61, I’m searching for a new job, but it feels like my years of experience don’t hold much value without a degree. With retirement approaching, I could really use some advice on starting over.

Is it normal for Managers have to take on roles both as a Senior and a Manger at the same time due to shortage in PA. Im at a midtier and a lot of my jobs don’t have Seniors and Partners don’t want to delay these jobs.

How common is it for first year associates to spin wheels? In my 4th month, I spent 6 hours doing a return with 3 K-1 royalties, 2 Schedule C with few expenses, and the usual 1099-DIV/INT, including consolidated 1099. Budgeted time was 5 hours total. I have yet to get my return reviewed.

With product design questions, I struggle to identify user groups. Once I do everything starts flowing and I’m confident. But the initial identification of user groups is something I find challenging. What’s your go-to way of doing this?
