Recently, I went through a lengthy hiring process. I made it to the final round where I first met with the director and then met with the associate director. What bothering me the most right now is coping with how they told me I didn't get the job. I emailed the recruiter twice over a two week span. I hadn't heard back so I reached out on Linkedin and found out that way that they didn't want to move forward with my application. Hey getting ghosted corporating gotta be worst than dating.

Spent the pandemic working on myself, got sober, focused on working out, left the music industry and started a career where I can make money and have a steady work schedule. Maybe this isn’t everyone’s version of “growing up” but that’s what this was for me. Now that I’m vaxed and seeing my friends, it’s clear we have little left in common, and honestly a lot of the things they do straight up embarrasses me. I don’t want to lose these long term friends. I currently work for a private automotive service company with a little over 6000 employees. I am in the treasury department, working as a cash and liquidity analyst.
